“The Regulatory Role of hNRNPA1 on microRNA Genes” project, coordinated by Prof. Ayşe Elif Erson Bensan from Biological Sciences Department, was granted the grand award in the Oncology Summit Project Competition.

Professor Ahmet Cevdet Yalçıner was granted the 2019 Hamaguchi Award, given by Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism.

Assistant Prof. Zöhre Kurt was awarded within the scope of the “For Women in Science” program, in cooperation with L’Oréal-UNESCO by her “Wastewater Treatment Through Sustainable Fuel Production” Project.

METU received the highest number of project funds in the 1001 program proposed to the TÜBİTAK in the first term of 2019.
