Prof. Meldal spoke at METU as part of the “Distinguished Lecture Series” organized for METU’s 70th anniversary.

As part of METU’s 70th anniversary “Distinguished Lecture Series,” Dr. St. Hilaire spoke about career development in STEM and the representation of women in these fields.

The research, published in Science and led by researchers at METU, Hacettepe University, and the University of Lausanne, sheds light on a major turning point in human history.

A new study conducted by a team of geneticists from METU and Hacettepe University within the scope of the Çatalhöyük Research Project was published today in Science.

According to the results announced, METU once again ranked first among Turkish universities.

METU has also retained its position as the top Turkish university as it did last year.

METU Career Fair’25 was held between March 12 and 21.

In the QS 2025 World University Rankings by Subject, METU ranked first among Turkish universities in 12 subjects and 2 broad subject areas.

Marine expeditions continue as part of the ERC-funded DeepTrace project, which explores extreme habitats in the seas of Turkey and the world.

The report titled “January-February 2025 Aegean Sea Earthquake Storm and Potential Tsunami” examines the potential impact of a possible tsunami in the Aegean Sea on the coastal areas of Turkey.
