“Nature Training Workshop” at METU

A “Nature Training Workshop” will be held at the MM-25 Lecture Hall on February 4-8, 2019 as part of the “Nature for Youth and City” supported by Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships.

A “Nature Training Workshop” will be held at the MM-25 Lecture Hall on February 4-8, 2019 as part of the “Nature for Youth and City” supported by Erasmus+ Strategic Partnerships and carried out by METU Nature Conservation Centre in partnership with METU, Butterfly Conservation (UK), Anima Mundi (IT) and Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (Greece).

In the project dedicated to strengthening young people’s knowledge and skills on sustainability and nature conservation as a nature guide, the training programs have been prepared so as to introduce the natural values of METU campus to the masses.

In the workshop to share experiences gained from project practices, to enable participants to transfer their experiences about nature training, to get feedback on project practices, to discuss opportunities for the continuity of the project, to search for means of cooperation for expansion and dissemination of the project, the training programs on plants, butterflies, steppe, sustainability and climate change will be evaluated with national and international key participants.

A session to introduce the product to the internal shareholders will be held on the last day of the workshop, on Friday, February 8, 2019, at 13.30 am, at the MM-25 Lecture Hall, where 15 nature guides from the international partners of the project, Technological Educational Institute of Thessaly (Greece) and Anima Mundi (Italy) and the representatives of public institutions, universities and non-governmental organizations working on nature training will join.
