The METU team consisted of Nurpari Damirova, and Rabia Akçay won first place in two categories in the International Business Ethics Case Competition. Damirova and Akçay are the “Business Ethics” undergraduate course students of Prof. Semra F. Aşcıgil, the Department of Business Administration faculty member at METU.
Damirova and Akçay, with their presentation entitled “Autonomous Vehicle Technology: Threat or Opportunity?” have been awarded two grand prizes, in the 10-minute “Ethics Only” and 90-second presentation categories, as in previous years. 17 universities from the USA, Spain, and Canada competed in groups ending with METU team ranking first in two categories.
In addition, team member Rabia Aksoy was accepted to the YoungTTGV program, which consists of teams that will develop solutions to the social problems of the country, and qualified to participate in a 12-month program within this framework. Young TTGV, designed by the Technology Development Foundation of Turkey, is a community program consisting of innovative young people for Turkey that produces technology.
