Middle East Technical University has been contributing to the world of science and business with its nearly 150 thousand alumni since its first graduates in 1960.

Asst. Prof. Ahmet Acar from the Department of Biological Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Science was awarded the "Molecular Biology and Genetics Research Award" by the Aydın Doğan Foundation.

METU was ranked 1st among state universities in Turkey and in the 501-510 band among world universities in the QS 2023 World Universities Ranking.

METU has ranked 336th in the 2022 world university rankings announced by the Round University Ranking (RUR), and placed in the "Bronze League".

Middle East Technical University ranked 1st, just like last year, in the 2021 Patent Report, published by Patent Effect.

In the 2022 edition of the Impact Rankings published by Times Higher Education (THE), one of the most prestigious university ranking institutions, Middle East Technical University has ranked first among the universities in Turkey and in the 101-200 band worldwide.

Just like last year, METU has once again ranked first by far among the universities in Turkey.

Our University has ranked first in 10 subjects among the universities in Turkey while sharing first place with another university in 3 subjects, making Middle East Technical University the top-ranking university in Turkey in 13 subjects.

The results of the 2232 and 2247 calls by the Directorate of Science Fellowships and Grant Programs (BİDEB) operating under the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) have been announced.

METU has been awarded at the event hosted by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) which officialized Turkey's participation in the Horizon Europe Program.
