Team of Turkey, led by Prof. Tolga Can from the Department of Computer Engineering, won one silver and two bronze medals at the 33rd International Olympiad in Informatics.

Doğa Çağdaş Demirkan, a METU alum who continues his Ph.D. in the USA, has been named the winner of the annual student poster competition with his poster titled “Real-Time/Near-Real-Time Methane Prediction in Longwall Coal Mine Using Artificial Intelligence”.

Assoc. Prof. Mehmet Fatih Danışman is granted TÜBİTAK 2537 – CAS (Czechia) Bilateral Cooperation Programme funding for his project titled “Dipole-Dipole Interactions in Self-Arranging Single Layers”.

METU EKOSAM is organizing the 3rd Count Species! activity on METU campus on Friday, June 4, 2021, from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm.

The METU team consisted of Nurpari Damirova, and Rabia Akçay won first place in two categories in the International Business Ethics Case Competition. Damirova and Akçay are the “Business Ethics” undergraduate course students of Prof. Semra F. Aşcıgil, the Department of Business Administration faculty member at METU.
