A breakthrough article entitled "Effect of Tectonic Processes on Biosphere–Geosphere Feedbacks across a Convergent Margin", co-authored by Mustafa Yücel from METU, has been published in Nature Geoscience.

METU academics, Assoc. Prof. Murat Göl, Assist. Prof. Antione Marion, and Assist. Prof. Selçuk Yerci are awarded by BAGEP.

An international project titled "Offshore Wind Farms Large-Scale Integration in Turkey (WindFlag)", which was launched on March 1, 2020 and is planned to continue for 36 months.

The project led by Assoc. Prof. Ozan Cem Çelik, entitled “Guidelines for Structural Health Monitoring Systems on Tall Buildings and a Case Study” is funded by AFAD under its National Earthquake Research Program.

METU Earthquake Engineering Research Center (EERC) was founded in 1976 as a multidisciplinary institution and one of the oldest research centers in the area.

Prof. Deniz Üner has been accepted for funding within the scope of the TÜBİTAK BİDEB 2247-A National Fellowship for Outstanding Researchers Program with her project titled “Operando NMR Spectroscopy: A New Method for Monitoring Heterogeneous Catalytic Reactions”.

METU took part in the consortium of the "Standing Together for a Healthier and Safer Society" project, supported by the ERASMUS+ program of the European Commission.

METU Department of Industrial Design has recently become a partner in a new European Union project “D.Doc” that will map doctoral design education across all 34 Erasmus+ member states.

The project, led by Dr. Çağla Meral Akgül, was accepted for "TÜBİTAK - British Council (UK) Bilateral Cooperation (Institutional Links) Programme" funding.
