The Middle East Technical University has ranked first in the "Research Universities Performance Monitoring Index" by The Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

METU Graduate School of Informatics has joined the consortium of European partners to design and implement a Master's Program in High-Performance Computing (HPC) for the first time in Europe.

A new Horizon 2020 project, titled “Climate-Resilient Regions Through Systemic Solutions and Innovations - ARSINOE,” in partnership with METU Institute of Marine Sciences, which will last for four years, commenced in October.

Asst. Prof. Ahmet Acar has received the Incentive Award in 2021 Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Incentive Awards organized by the Health Institutes of Turkey (TÜSEB).

The 2021 version of the “ranking of researchers with the greatest scientific impact in the world,” which was prepared by the Stanford University researchers, has been published by Elsevier BV.
