Asst. Prof. Selçuk Yerci from the Department of Electrical-Electronics Engineering has been awarded within TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards 2021.
Dr. Yerci won the Incentive Award in the field of Engineering Sciences for his internationally outstanding works on silicon photonics, which will cost-effectively accelerate the data transfer between computers by developing highly efficient and cost-effective solar cells.
TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards aim to support TÜBİTAK’s research and development efforts in scientific and technological fields as well as contributing to the training and development of scientists and researchers.
The Incentive Awards are given to the scientists who have proven that they have the qualifications to make significant contributions to science at an international level in the future, provided that they are residents of Turkey and are under 40 years old as of the first day of the year in which the award is given.
