Three researchers from the Middle East Technical University have been given the Outstanding Young Scientists Award 2022 (GEBİP) by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). This year’s awards have been given to 34 highly accomplished young scientists from 21 different institutions.

Together with his team, Dr. Hasan Tarık Baytekin, Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, has developed a new technique that monitors the oxidation of engine oils online, which is essential for the proper and long-lasting operation of machines.

METU was ranked 1st among state universities in Turkey and in the 501-510 band among world universities in the QS 2023 World Universities Ranking.

The winners of the Honor, Science, Outstanding Service, Research and Technology Incentive Awards organized by METU Prof. Dr. Mustafa N. Parlar Education and Research Foundation will be presented.

METU has ranked 336th in the 2022 world university rankings announced by the Round University Ranking (RUR), and placed in the "Bronze League".

Middle East Technical University ranked 1st, just like last year, in the 2021 Patent Report, published by Patent Effect.
