Organized by The Center for Solar Energy Research and Applications (GÜNAM) of our University, the2nd International Conference on Photovoltaic Science and Technologies is held online between November 30 and December 2, 2020, within the scope of coronavirus restrictions.

Starting from the fact that in today’s World the renewables are at the hub of almost all energy policy transitions to meet the increased needs of energy within the global developing economy and technology and solar energy takes its part with the largest growth rate of solar photovoltaic power plants, due to the need for R/D on the subject is increasing and the steps are taken to improve the infrastructure, the first of the Photovoltaic Conference (PVCon) series was organized in July 2018.

PVCon2020, organized with the hope and the willingness of this conference’s continuity, mainly aims to present a well-established scientific and technical forum on solar photovoltaics (PV). Within this scope, national invited speakers as well as international ones from the USA, Germany, Russia, Qatar, researchers, representatives of governmental bodies and private sector representatives will share the recent researches and developments of the science and technology about solar energy and solar PV, contributing to the development of the related R/D and infrastructure, and in the meantime establishing a fruitful platform of national and international collaborations.

During the online conference, workshops will be held as well as oral presentations and poster presentations. A selected number of articles with strong original contributions to science / applied science on both relevant modeling and laboratory / field experimental research will be published in Renewable Energy Journal special issue.
